Clerkship or rotation courses imparts practical knowledge to students to assist their patients in cases of emergency and helps them to practically perform surgeries and to gain an in depth knowledge about the subject.The clerkship program usually takes place after the USMLE step 1 program.

Categorization of Clerkship

There are 2 types of clerkship programs:

1.Core clerkship

1.Core Clerkship:

The general medical syllabus is covered within the core clerkship program.

  • Duration: 48 weeks (1 year)
